JOHNNY SMITH JAZZ at The Beach Chalet

JOHNNY SMITH JAZZ at The Beach Chalet

Artist Johnny Smith began his musical life at a very young age. Born into a musical family, Johnny’s mother nurtured his vocal talents while his uncle and aunt, well known music icons Delaney & Bonnie, provided musical mentoring and advice. But it was a televised performance of Elvis playing “Hound Dog” that truly inspired the 9 year old Smith to pick up the guitar and pursue a life of performance and by the age of 10, he was regularly invited to perform on stage with local professional musicians.
Smith eventually relocated to San Francisco and formed Alias Smith, a roots/rock influenced band. Alias Smith’s selt-titled debut CD garnered much praise, and helped the band to secure an 18 date European tour, as well as stage performances alongside prominent artists including The Beach Boys, Starship, Maria Muldaur, and Roger McGuinn.
Smith subsequently released the solo album “Just a Man,” in which his maturity as a musician is realized as his sultry, soulful voice weaves throughout songs reminiscent of sophisticated blues melded with upbeat rock tempos. The hit “Love Is like a Rock” became #1 on radio request lines.
Johnny was named "Best Performer" 3 years in a rowby the Northern California Songwriters Association, and is a regular on live television and radio broadcasts.
Johnny Smith still performs on the original Martin D-35 that started it all.

Love Struck Band

Love Struck Band

Twenty years ago Jesus Angel Mora and PaulaClaudine Hobson-Coard met and found out that they had the same passion for music. In 2010, they decided to form a duo called Love Struck.  They played small venues, and found that to be very successful. Along the way, they collaborated with other talented musicians, who joined forces with the duo, thus creating the Love Struck Band. The collaboration of the band's unique musical styles form an upbeat pop/rock sound with a Latin/R&B infusion that captivates and energizes the soul of the listener.  (Band members: PaulaClaudine Hobson-Coard, Jesus Angel Mora, Phil Wong, Mike Lem, Jonathan Rojo, Bill Coonley.)

The Love Struck band is a 6 piece band that is comprised of extremely talented, versatile, and professional musicians.  Their music is invigorating; every song has a Love Struck twist to it, whether it is a cover or an original. Fans say “The wealth of musical styles, and their smooth and expressive musical synergies has made Love Struck such an amazing band. Their songs, which range from bluesy to rock to R&B and Latin vibes to pop, show that they know their way around the world of music. The musical arrangements are absolutely amazing and unique
